INTIMACY COORDINATOR
Training & Approach
I have completed SAG/AFTRA Intimacy Coordinator training with Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC) in New York, and have since intimacy coordinated on a range of productions, from short films and series to a Paramount feature and an Amazon Prime series.
My goal as an Intimacy Coordinator is to give support and structure to the filming of intimate scenes – so actors arrive on set confident and ready to do their best work. I love to collaborate with directors, production and actors to understand the scene’s vision and generate options within actors’ boundaries.
I’m an astute listener and can grasp creative visions quickly. I’m also adaptive and can lean in and assist with choreography when asked, or stand back and hold space. I believe preparation and clear communication are key to a consensual process and help keep filming positive, creative and efficient.
Background
Having worked as both a producer and director, I appreciate the relationship between time, money and creativity on set. I understand camera angles, shot flow and how sequences are realized. Whether on features, TV series or shorts, I’ve been there to shoot scenes involving nudity, body trauma, stunts and VFX.
When creating moments of simulated intimacy, I also draw on more than 15 years of movement practice, sexual dramaturgy and a trauma-informed approach. My movement background includes Continuum and Five Rhythms.
Let’s Explore Working Together
I’m excited to support productions and actors in creating moments of intimacy that are fresh and impactful. Based in Vancouver/Victoria, BC, I’m a UBCP/ACTRA member, speak French and Spanish, hold Canadian/EU citizenship and can work on union and non-union productions internationally.
